About Latched

Caring for North Texas moms and babies

I know what you’re going through, mama.

Breastfeeding troubles. Low blood sugar. A tongue tie. Lip ties. Delayed milk production. Triple feeding. Obsessively tracking every ounce of milk. Milk oversupply. Referrals to specialist after specialist. Painful latches. Cluster feeding. Colic. Crazy elimination diets. Exhaustion. Mom guilt… so much mom guilt.

Been there, done that.

I’m an IBCLC and pediatric physical therapist, with a doctorate in physical therapy and years of experience treating critically ill babies in a hospital setting and I still couldn’t help my son. So believe me when I say this, mama: you’re not doing anything wrong.

Many providers only offer one specialty; they work with mom, or they work with baby. But when I was dealing with my son’s challenges, I realized that so many aspects of pediatric and postpartum healthcare are connected — just like you and your baby are connected. So when I couldn’t find a provider who offered the right level of expertise, I learned it myself and became a lactation-informed physical therapist.

And then I started Latched — because you deserve that level of care and support, too.

Liam’s Mom

“I felt empowered to nurse my baby or not, to pump or not. I liked getting all the information and having the autonomy to make the decision that worked best for my family. You got me on track to begin making my own informed decisions.

Where I Do Business

Lactation-informed physical therapy is all about comfort, and that extends to our appointments themselves. Want to get out of the house? Step into my cozy, calming office at Cafe of Life Chiropractic in the Lower Greenville neighborhood of Dallas. Prefer the comfort of your own home? I’ll come to you.

How I Do Business

I started Latched with a vision of offering personalized, empowering, and heartfelt care. You have excellent instincts about what’s best for you and your baby. My job is to listen and help you embrace that inherent wisdom. Become a patient and you can expect an evidence-based treatment plan that aligns with your goals, minimizes your time (and expense) in my office, and feels like it’s coming from a friend — because it is.

Leonardo’s mom

“Every new mom needs a Monique in their life. She’s insanely knowledgeable, sure, but my favorite thing about Monique is her compassion. She felt like a friend, which is so invaluable during the early postpartum days.”

How Can I Help?

No, really. I’m a mom first, pediatric physical therapist/lactation specialist second, and a business owner third. I leaned on so many resources when I was a new mom, and I'd love to be that for you. Just reach out.
